My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.
On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.
Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

People want magic solutions but there is only one.Eat less calories then you use.Get your calories from good healthy foods and all food groups.The more often you can eat the better,300 Cal's 5 times a day is much better than 500 3times a day.This keeps your metabolism burning and it is all about metabolism.If your body senses it is starving it will slow your metabolism and hang on to fat for dear life(literally)You must exercise,and this should include weight training.Maintaining your muscle mass is essential to a fast metabolism.Muscle its self burns calories just by existing.You want at least 30 Min's a day 4 times a week of aerobic exercise.
Final note,diets don't work you need to change your lifestyle and make permanent changes.Good luck.

Try to eat more fiber, drink more water, eliminate all soft drinks, eat only one small helping of food at each meal and exercise daily at least 45 minutes.
This will take off 1-2 pounds a week until you're where you want to be.
