Glycolic Acid is what is used. It would be bette rto buy this under a product other than tattoo removal asthey put a huge huge huge mark up on it.
Due to its excellent capability to penetrate skin, glycolic acid finds applications in skin care products, most often as a chemical peel performed by a dermatologist in concentrations of 20%-80% or at-home kits in lower concentrations of 10%.

I'm sure there are some idiots who will sand it off, dig it out, or burn you until you can't recognize it I've read about places that will remove gang related tattoos for free or for very little but for some reason, I doubt that is the case here So, to try and get you to understand what kind of question this is: are there any banks in Chicago that give you thousands of dollars? are there any police in Chicago that will pay you to break the law? are there any flying pink elephants in Chicago that I could rent for my sons 178th wedding anniversary? if you are actually trying to get a gang tat removed, I'm not sure who you'd want to talk to. maybe a reputable tattoo joint in the area

A medical spa might offer this service as would some plastic surgeons or dermatology practices. The prices vary depending on the area of the country which you are in and who you have do the work. Tattoos are removed by a laser process so you want whomever is going to do the work to be experienced.
I would suggest calling some dermatology offices to see if they do it or possibly to make a referral. If you are near a larger metropolitan area where there are medical spas, you might try to contact one of them and enquire about it.

laser Tattoo removal doesn't work all that good and costs in the thousands. Coverups work pretty well, you can also get tattooed again with acid stuff that makes the tattoo fade altho i'm not sure.
try getting your doctor to refer you.
actually try:
www.bmezine.com look on their question and answers
thatd be the best place to ask if you really wanted to remove it

Tattoo removal varies depending on size, color, geographical location and how long you have had the tattoo. Check to make sure that the laser is up to date. I suggest calling:

I used to work at a PLASTIC SURGEON'S office, and Tattoo removal is usually done using laser techniques. It is costly, since most offices don't have their own laser, and have the machines brought in once a month from the laser companies.
You may also try some free clinics. Our surgeon used to remove "gang" related tattoos for free (using laser) at the free clinic in our city.
