Think in the otherway: "Will you let go your bestfriend just for the fricking sake of your bf?" If yes, than say no to your question. If no, than stick with your friends.

A good friend, and in your case, a best friend, would never ask another friend to leave a boyfriend or girlfriend just for their sake, unless they really had the feeling that the boyfriend was a bad person. But if you're clearly happy, and the friend can't be happy for you, then they're probably not as good a friend as you thought.

But then if you're spending a lot more time with the boyfriend and ditching your best friend, you're not such a great friend either. I had a supposed "best friend" who spent 80% of her time with her super "hot" boyfriend, and the other 20% telling stories about him and talking about how hot, amazing, sweet, and perfect he was, even though I was going through problems of my own that she should have been there to listen to. After less than a month, he cheated on her and broke up with her (he didn't do it in person, sent her a text message or something stupid). Then she decided to call all sad on the phone asking for consolation, even though she'd ditched all her friends while she was with this oh-so-perfect guy.

Or, your friend might think your boyfriend is a bad guy and is trying to protect you. So as you can see...you need to strike a balance, figure out why the best friend wants you to leave him.

DONT dump your bf just because of your best friend, from my own experience my bestfriend fancied my bf before i started dating him and she was absolutely gutted and so pissed off that i got him and she didnt, and then soon after i realised she was flirting with him infront of me and then when he wasnt around she would talk about him and say that she hated him and i should break up with him, anyway a year on.... i am still with my bf and very happy and i still talk to my bestfriend but i keep her close, rememeber keep your friends close but your enimies closer....
If she had a bf, would it bother you?? i think shes just being jealous and she needs to get her own bf, theres no need for her to tell you what to do, she can advise you but nothing else, its YOUR life, if your bf was a waste of space then fair enough, your bestfriend maybe right... otherwise if hes lovely... then keep him!!

More details would help....just off the top of my head...depends on what is going on. You sound like you'd like to hold onto your bf, so that would be the best plan. If your best friend is a true friend, I would imagine you two could figure out a solution that makes more sense and makes you both happy. Yes? Good luck. Hope it works out.

If your best friend and boyfriend cheated on you, then let go of both of them because they are not worth it. Your boyfriend was not supposed to make a move on your bestfriend so he's a liar and a cheater, your bestfriend is also just as guilty as he is and she's not worth being called a friend. Friends especially best friends are supposed to be loyal to their friends. Drop them both.

Your boyfriend and best friend have nothing to do with one another. It's like work and family. It should be kept apart and each should deserve a portion of your time. When you mix friends with boyfriends, things get mixed up and emotional starts to grow.

You don't need to leave you boyfriend because your friends don't approve of him. Just keep them apart from one another. Anything else is excessive and should not be entertained.
