oh yeah cut OFF your leg hehehe... well our teacher just mentioned.. well shared a story that there's this man who'd rather die than to cut off his leg. I wonder if there are other people (well just here in answers though) who thinks the same way.

I've often wondered what I would do if I lost a leg since I am a runner. I've seen a number of challenged athletes with artificial legs so I would rather live and get the fake leg and resume running once I got used to it. If I lost both legs, I would become a wheel chair athlete. Just because you lose a part of your body doesn't mean you have to lose your mind and your will!

It is very easy to contract gangerine in your legs if you have diabetes. You can live a long and fruitful life without your leg. My grandfather lost his leg and if he had not he would have died! He was not less of a man because of it

Let the man make his own decision. If he'd rather die let him, why do people always feel the need to force their beliefs on someone else. If you'd choose to live great, if you choose to die thats good too. It's your life your choice. If he's not doing it just to stay in one piece then it's his own ignorance but if he's doing it because he is tired of living with the disease then I say let him rest in peace.

I would let them amputate my leg. There are prosthetic legs that you can get. I would rather live my life healthy, then suffer. My husbands grandfather had diabetes, and he got an ulcer on his foot. It became infected and they wanted to amputate it to save his life. He said no. He ended up getting severe gangrene, and died a short time later.
