Piles can be painful and often times they develop as a result of constipation and straining when eliminating. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables daily. 5 to 8 servings of vegetables is recommended per day (a half cup of veggies is equivalent to 1 serving). Drink adequate amounts of fresh clean water (about 8 cups per day). Take fiber in the form of bran or flax that tend to be soothing. Also, horse chestnut is an herb that is available in health food stores which is useful in the treatment of varicose veins, and piles or hemorrhoids are considered varicose veins in the rectum. The horse chestnut helps shrink the hemorrhoids and strengthens the blood vessel wall. Good luck in your quest for relief.

TUCKS is a piles best friend! So is a good fiber suppliment. There are many products on the market, but if your problem has become more then just a nuisance, go to the doctor. He/she will give you a RX for something which works well.
