Try Rozerem, it's a sleep aid (prescription only) that helps eliminate dreams. Works great for me...no more nightmare.

I had this going on for a couple of years when I was very young and what I figured out was lucid dreaming, although I had no idea at the time that lucid dreaming was what I was doing. I became obsessed over calling a particular person (but you could use an animal or your g-d or whatever) to help me during the dream. I thought about it all day long and kept asking myslef the question "am I dreaming now?" and reminding myself of who I would be bringing in.

Other than this, counseling is always a good idea

If you tend to have this type of nightmare and it disturbs your sleep to the point of being frustrated, talk to your doc about a benzodiazipine. This is a common drug used to treat people with nightmares or rem behavior disorder. Also, some counseling wouldn't hurt. Medications are good to help ease the problem, but there is more than likely a mental issue causing this type of behavior.

You need to remember that all you dreams are is your subconscious, trying to process and make sense of your life. If you are stressed right now, than it makes sense that your dreams are disturbing.

Try and make sure that you are able to get comfortable, pain-free, stress-free sleep. Un-interrupted as well. And if need be, see a counselor or your church Pastor for a wee bit of counseling to help you through your "demons".

Good luck.

Oh, you could try THC (weed) as you don't dream hardly at all on that.

i think you should examine what is going on around you. journal some of your dreams especially if they are reoccurring because they may refelct issues in your daily life. maybe check out some books on dream interpretation and see what some of the symbolism in your dreams mean and try to find what in your life may be causing such distress. if that doesn't work you should definatly talk to a psychologist in order to find some kind of deeper meaning.

Have a nice cup of herb tea, and forget about those jerks. Also, it's difficult to drift off to slumber when u keep going, over and over about all that. Relax - let yr mind wander!

Talk it over with a counsellor or someone you trust. If you don't want to do that then write down your feelings in a journal or diary. Writing them down or talking about them will help you.
