My name is daniel , Age 14..I've been a vegetarian for about 1-2 months , I lost quite alot of weight from it I Always was skinny But i've gotten skinnier , I'm about 5"9 and a half , I weigh about uh..118..Is that unhealthy? ..I hardly eat , Lately i've been eating just pizza/nachos/cereal , Is it possible to get real sick from continueing to do this? I know I Could take protein shakes/pills , But I dont really care , You need protein in your system to be able to function correctly , I've been having a horrible time thinking/remembering things , It usually takes me 5 Minutes just to think , Due to the lack of protein in my system ..So is it possible to hardly have any protein? or not have any at all? without having any serious problems?

Lately When i talk to people I Feel like an idiot , If they ask a series of question's I Wont be able to respond , My brain always feels like its cloudy aswell..Also i usually only eat 1-2 times a day..

I Hope you can answer my questions! , thanks

no way! u absolutely need protein to survive!
u need at least 160 grams/24 hours of protein. (based on ur height.)
by the way, brain damage will be just one of the many things that will go wrong with u if don't change ur eating habits now!!!!!

and yeah, u r totally malnourished!
based on ur height, ur weight should be 145-200 pounds.

please look into broadening the foods u can eat! walk around the grocery store. eat nuts...try adding black beans to those nachos. how about eggs? if u eat just the egg whites then u can avoid the cholesterol & get protein too. consider drinking more milk.
also u need iron. u probably aren't thinking right not only due to the lack of protein to build vital enzymes, cells, etc. but also u r probably running low on red blood cells (which provide oxygen to ur brain)...red blood cells won't form without iron.

There are a few things I am concerned with. First of all it seems that YES you are underweight. Secondly, you need to have a balanced diet. When you eat only one time a day (5 small meals is better to keep metabolism up) of course your brain will be foggy. It is running on an empty tank of gas! So, it has to work hard to break down your own body for energy: fat and muscle. As you are already underweight... well your brain is going because it is food, too: fat.
You need roughly 33 percent each of proteins (chicken, fish, steak, pork), fats (olive oil, animal fat), and carbohydrates( veggies, fruits, breads) i am only mentioning the good things to eat because eating nachos is NOT a healthy meal for your brain to function.
Thirdly, the fact that you are not eating and you are 14 and still growing is a big concern. Please go so someone (doctor, nutritionist, therapist) and talk about why you aren't eating. I am worried that it is anorexia, which is a treatable disease.
You can be healthy and happy and thrive in your life. Don't let it get you down. Take your power and treat your body well! Don't you feel it deserves a royal treatment? And just because you will eat more, doesn't mean you will be "fat". Some fat is REQUIRED! It keeps us warm and healthy. Best of luck.

You are definitely malnourished. You should give up to be a vegetarian. Even as a vegetarian, you are not eating enough.
At your age, you should be eating all foods including
meats, which are nutritious. Do not rely on plant proteins because they cannot provide full spectrum of amino acids your body needs. Lack of proteins is linked to mental and physical health problems. Your ideal weight should be about 140 lbs. Only consider to be a vegetarian after you reach your 20th. birth day and after you gain a good understanding on nutrition.

can't live without protein, your body simply can't make some of the necessary amino acids - can get proteins from vegetarian diet if you know what your are doing

i've known 2 types of vegetarians (1) sickly, (2) careful about getting enough proteins and other stuff

u cna be a vegetarian but still eat healthy. "Lately i've been eating just pizza/nachos/cereal" shouldnt vegetarians be sticking with vegetable type foods mostly? but anyways, thats very unhealthy. u should change ur eating habits and get urself checked i guess

you know, nuts are a good source of protein and they would still stick with your vegetarian ways but you absolutely need protein.
