There are two herpes viruses Simplex 1 and Simplex 2
Herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) is usually associated with infections of the lips, mouth, and face. It is the most common herpes simplex virus and is usually acquired in childhood. HSV-1 often causes lesions inside the mouth such as cold sores (fever blisters) and is transmitted by contact with infected saliva. By adulthood, up to 90% of individuals will have antibodies to HSV-1.
Herpes simplex virus 2 (HSV-2) is sexually transmitted. Symptoms include genital ulcers or sores. In addition to oral and genital lesions, the virus can also lead to complications such as meningoencephalitis (infection of the lining of the brain and the brain itself) or cause infection of the eye -- in particular the conjunctiva, and cornea. However, some people have HSV-2 but do not display symptoms. Up to 30% of U.S. adults have antibodies against HSV-2. Cross-infection of type 1 and 2 viruses may occur from oral-genital contact.

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about 4 yrs ago, when I was still attending college and had a foolish one-night stand. I know a lot of people say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a huge mistake that one time and suddenly it seemed like I was going to have to live with the implications for my entire life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date men again. After all, who wants to go out with someone that has sores round her "you know what" area? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/PByrM everything improved.

Not only was I able to eliminate all remnants of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so lucky to write that just last week, in front of everybody in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This system provided the chance to be happy and experience real love again. Now I want to help others by sharing this story.

AH, cold sores something I can thank my parents for passing down to me. I'm not embarrassed when I have one because most of the people that I know or have come into contact with in the places I've lived I always run into a few with that little red blister on their lip. I hate the things CARMAX works great for me. But I only get one every 2-3 years just about normally if I'm really really stressed out.

a cold sore or mono is layman's term for herpes simplex I, the sexual (below the waist) is heres simplex II. approx 80% of the population has simplex I. the simplex I resides in our nervous system (i.e. the ganglion cell) and re-establishes itself when our immune system is low. careful not to pop cold sores for they are filled with the virus unless you want to infect someone. acyclovir helps tame the simplex I. a side note, you now the difference between herpes and love right?....................... herpes is forever.

extra notation: Eugene is right about the simplex in the eyes causing herpatic lesions on the corneal tissue. more common and not to be confused is herpes zoster (chicken pox) that can cause hutchinson's sign along the cranial nerve 5 pathways. i treat these commonly along with eye surgeries.

Cold sores and feverbilsters are common, yes they are a form of herpes they just are the non-sexual related kind. You don't get a cold sore from oral sex. You can however get *** blisters inside your mouth from oral sex. If you have a cold sore and perform oral sex they are not going to get herpes from you. They are going to only get herpes from you if you have the sexual related form of herpes (STD's). Cold sores are not catch-able by perfomring oral sex unless its the STD form of herpes.
