Shelter 1st. The old saying is that you can die
3 minutes without air
3 hours without shelter
3 days without water
3 weeks without food.

This isn't really that accurate, but does give you the order of your survival.

The easiest shelter is a slanted roof find a tree with a V and place a log in the notch. That will provide the frame to attach the sides to your shelter and keep out the weather. You'll eventually want to build an elevated platform to sleep on in the event of rain (and to help with crawling critters). Next procure water and the means to sterilize it (fire). If you watch survivor you know no one gets a fire going with our the magnesuim striker it seems. Use shoe laces, build a fire bow to max. friction and practice this before your there. Being able to boil water, cook food, and warm yourself (not to mention the smoke helps with the bugs and is simply a good companion). Food is look for plants/fruit/etc. that is edible. Fishing can be done with net/spear/line. You might try trapping, it is the most economical way to gather meat. Setting up weighted traps with a figure 4 snare, finding shallow lagoon areas and building 'boxed' in areas to catch small fish. Small animals add up the calories: Minnows, crabs, grubs, etc. can be all put into water and simmered over a fire and then eat the 'soup'. This maximizes the calories as you can eat bones, eyes, etc. which is not 'good eating' but will maximize you calorie intake. Good luck!

Defiantly coconuts and bananas depending on where you island is located. But think about it. If the island is deserted, it's deserted for a reason. The food source is probably very slim and probably not healthy. Any berries are probably poisonous, veggies wouldn't survive on an island, and nuts might be hard to come across. Your best bet would be to eat the things with four or more legs! Good luck!

Food: Fish, look for wild veggies they are there. Snails, crabs and coconuts.

Shelter: Build a sturdy hut with bamboo sticks, tight braid the palm leaves, add extra layers weaving them in and out.

Build a shelter to keep your firewood dry.

As for shelter..... with such beautiful remaining contestents you should be on Cloud 9. Jump off that cloud, stay under it and you'll have your shelter. Now finding food is not that difficult. Just give me a call (if you don't have a phone on the island smoke signals will do) and I will bring you all the food you want.....!!!

To find food make a fishing rod or spear to catch fish but make sure you catch enough for everyone. As for shelter i guess you need to braid those palm fronds and layer them for roofing and make at least three walls. You should probably make some for the floor aswell to keep out some of the damp.Good luck with the merge. Keep up the good work. Love ya.Justin to win.

If you have already planned it, then I m sure u don't want to die of hunger. So make sure u take ur food along with you. Regarding shelter; hmmmmmmmmm, well when you will face the real problem, your brain will start working on it! And it will be like a lightening in your brain! Till then relax, chill and enjoy and also let the yahoo freaks have some rest....................
