Don't just do the pasta and sugar thing. Your system will go crazy with all the sugar. You will get hyper and then crash. You want consistancy and health. My brother had to gain weight so he did protein shakes with raw eggs in them. Not bad. You could go to a health food store and get protein powder to add to a shake.
I have basically heard of two things: build your muscle mass by lifting weights and eat a good amount of protein (nuts, meats)
