Do you prefer men who could tear tear the limbs off someone who insulted you, or would you prefer the guy who gets his eyes blacked out but still tried to protect you?

Neither. I would prefer a man that can walk away and tell me that "that jerk doesn't know anything", and reassure me the insult was not true. That's all the protection I could ask for in a man in that particular situation.

How about a gentleman who opens the door for you? Why would I want him to hurt anyone? Unless it is reasonable self-defense, there is no excuse. I may have Irish blood and enjoy Guinness, Celtic music and U2 (and Sinead O'Connor, though she needs therapy), but I do not go to bars and start brawls, nor do I hang out with guys like that.

If it`s possible not to harm my man from protecting me much better.But if not, I prefer the latter.It`s a sweet thing to know that he is just cool but he is willing to be hurt by protecting me.Maybe after the event I could give him my hugs and kisses

i prefer a guy who knows how to fight back if he needs to. at least i know that he can protect me. it's not how he wins or loses, it's how he defends himself. a war freak is different. there's a thing called "too much". it's sweet that he got hurt just by protecting me, but if he needs to fight then he should, i don't want his eyes blacked out but it's up to him.

One of the things i love abt my bf is because he's protective of me. He makes sure i am always safe when i go out with him. He makes sure no guys tries to hit on me or bump themselves into me. I feel like a princess whenever i am with him.
That is more sexy to me.

i prefer a man that will defend my honor. if he can tear someones arm off then fine, if he at least puts up a good fight, then that's good too.
