First thing, DONT smack or beat your dog for this behavior. Second thing, DONT rub his nose in it.
Peeing on everything is not always a marking of teritory. You must study your own behavior and treatment of the dog first. A dog will pee and or act in a wild manner in an attempt to gain its owners attention. He may not feel secure if he is left alone in an empty house, he may be reacting to a new member of the family, eg, a baby, a new kitten, a new girl/boy friend etc. It may also be that he has never being trained not to soil the house. there are many more reasons other than "he is marking his teritory". To answer your question I would need more info into the behavior of the family, when this peeing started, what has changed in the household etc.

My moms chihuahua did this. Even if I gave him no water. We would take walks and he would pee on everything vertical. Also I would be at home and notice things like the wall, my purse, chairs everything had been peed on. It was absolutely the most disgusting thing ever. Once we had him fixed he stopped. I think that is your best bet. Do it soon before he ruins things. He also is obviously showing his dominance over you and your house. Show him you are the boss and he is not your owner. But definately have him fixed and maybe go into dog training.

If he was neutered, he would not mark his spot. So if he is not, get him neutered, and quickly. I hopw you are taking hi for frequent wa;;lks and let him out in the yard to pee and praise him when he does go outdoors, don't leave it up to him to tell you he has to go out oif he is doing this, so you have to train him, and when you take him into the vet, ask for a pamphlet to help you train him, or the vet can help you. Remember allot of trips outdoors.

Get him "fixed" as soon as possbile. Peeing on everything is a way of him marking his territory. Once fixed, a dog does a little better with restraining himself, but the longer you wait - the more likely he'll do it out of habit even if he is fixed. Goodluck! (get him fixed!)

First off, get him desexed.. that usually stops them from marking their territory. Also show him where the toilet is (outside/litter tray) everytime when he finishes his food, has a drink or wakes up from a sleep take him to his toilet spot, and if he does go reward him with a pat, a treat or calm and loving comments aka "Good Dog!"
hope that helps ;)

actually it is because of territory and sometime a scent will make him pee. if you think of getting him neutered get it done after if you wish to mate with a female dog because it can harm the dog mentally... the best thing you can do is to punish him to make him know its wrong and then he may eventually be house trained and yet obedient.

theres a spray that you can spray on things and the scent will make the dog not pee on it. I think you can get it at a grocery store or pet store
