Like when i was younger i would daydream of diving over a fence and catching a ball to get the last out and win the game and everyone was cheering for me. or being responsible for the reason my niece is smart and i work with her good. and people think wow shes so good with her. ....just a few examples here. is that normal thinking?

It seems like you have a healthy imagination, which is a good thing. It seems like you do want to aspire to do great things and get noticed for it.
However, you have to live your life for you and try to do good for other people...not just a one time thing, but you have got to stick to something that you are good at ..and soon people will start to notice.. you are in fact determined to do something about it.
Believe me that great things will happen for you...some things that may even surprise you..but you have got to put action behind your imagination, stay motivated..and before you know it great things will start happening for you!

I think to an extent this is normal. People's daydreams are generally fueled by their own fantasies and things that they value personally. If you daydream about people thinking you're great perhaps you greatly value people's opinion of you and have a deep desire to be admired and want your accomplishments acknowledged. When you say 'always' though, how often do you do this? It would not be normal if you became obsessed with these thoughts or spent all your time living in your daydreams instead of your real life. Daydreaming about people thinking you're great does not mean you have delusions of grandeur so don't worry about that. If you couldn't tell the difference between your daydreams and reality that would be another thing. Anyway, go out there and make your dreams reality with your real accomplishments. Try to stay humble, and remember that it is most important to please yourself!

u know what my friend,
i guess we are all that man, or that woman , hehe
i had same dreams like that.
u know, i guess that this is normal, and maybe healthy too.
healthy for the mind for insiperation and imagination.
if we can't imagine , then we're so poor like any animal.
that's the difference. animals just life their day, they cant imagine. but we can.
so dont be afraid my friend
but still just take care that this may go beyond the limits and affect ur real life. coz this would be the real problem.
wish u the best my friend and wish u nice dreams too :))

I think that's a good sign. Most people tend to have negative thinking. If you think like a hero, there's a higher probability that you'll live your life like a hero and accomplish great things in life with a hero attitude and that level of expectancy.

Always daydreaming about one's self sounds narcisstic and conceited which is fueled by lack of self-esteem and worth.

Lots of people do that, depending on how far you take it you may be obsessed with it and let it go to your head.

Not really, if you seek acknowledgment start doing and stop daydreaming.

It's perfectly normal. We all do it.

After all, when you get down to it, don't we all just want to be loved? We want to be appreciated for not just who we appear to be but also for who we are deep down inside.

We want our friends to get the *real* us; to be astonished by the stuff about us that we ourselves find so gosh darn compelling.

If only they would!
