thats 2 weeks ago..i dont think it matters if its not open...just smell it...you will know right away....but to b safe..id go buy some more...

Nope. 8/27 was the sell-by date. Milk goes bad whether or not you open it.

That depends on what you want to use it for -but not consumption
I maybe can see where you got your question tho. Alot of people ininsist that skim milk is good 2 weeks after expiration but i would never use anything after its expiration date, that is why the date is there and even what is useable on that date is not fresh or near calling "good" anymore.

For make yourself sure about that it is good or bad you could boil it and if the milk change and some coagulum appear on top of the bowl that you boil the milk in it , you know that you can't drink the milk .

Food is usually edible/drinkable up to 4 days after it's "use by" date - However, I wouldn't chance it with dairy products. Won't kill you - but will keep you occupied in the bathroom for long time if you know what i mean.

Is it frozen?

Otherwise, I'm surprised it hasn't started separating. I've seen plastic bottles even start to expand a few weeks after a date. It'd be scary, let's put it that way.

no way chuck it out unless u wanna be sick milk is the type of food/drink that doesnt matter whether its been open or not it will rot

Throw it out QUICKLY!!!

The milk has passed it's expiration date and should not be used after that date.
