I am going to buy a small puppy and will need to carry her on the plane with me. If I buy a bag for her to be in, is that my carry one or can I bring another bag or my laptop also?

She goes under the seat and is considerd a carry-on. the airlines charge an additional $50-$80 to carry on a pet. She has to be in an airline approved 13 inch kennel..

there are no health requirements for her to fly in the cabin, but only if she goes as cargo.

Usually it's treated as "additional luggage" and you have to pay an extra "pet-on-board" fee. You should check with the airline. Some allow taking pets in the cabin, some don't. What's for sure, you can't take the pet in the "bag" - it has to be a transporter (carrier usually made of plastic, so if dog pees, it won't go through...). For the exact size you also have to check with the airline. They mostly have all those details published online under "luggage"

No, you can not carry on a pet other than a seeing eye dog. Pets have to be crated and carried in the cargo hold

The airlines usually charge you an extra fee and require all his paperwork and a checkup thats less than a week old for them to travel with you. On Frontier Airlines ( the only one I fly) it is considered a carry on. You will have to check with your individual carrier to see what their rules / regs are. Hope that helped.

Policies on pets vary with different airline carriers. Call and speak with a rep from whichever airline you'll be flying. If you already have your ticket, then ask them to make a note in your account that reflects whatever they report to you is their policy (just to make sure you don't get a different story when you show up to fly).

your puppy will be put in the cargo hold with all the baggage and the other animals. They are not allowed in the passenger section of the plane.

i offered a black lab at 8 weeks previous and not in any respect carried or put in a crate from the day i offered her even to the vets even nevertheless i did rigidity to and from the vets . i'm slightly previous formed and picture that a canines is a canines and should not be carried yet do what you sense is terrific on your canines .

some airlines don't allow puppies onboard.. you should really call the airline and find out what their policy is, so that you don't show up there with the puppy, only to find out that you can't board, that would be horrible

I will tell you what, Fine a good kennel, and leave her back home.. Puppy's don't fly well. and she needs your needs alot. And she will need shots to fly, in some other countys also. If you can just leave her back home.... Best Bet
