Being an unfortunate American, I have no idea what a meat pie is, and would probably not recognize one if I fell over it. Can you give me a description, please?

A meat pie, is a pie, like a pastry pocket filled with meat, usually beef... perhaps mushrooms, or cheese, or maybe other vegies... Like you can get beef & mushroom pie, or beef & cheese... Or steak & kidney... Or a chicekn & mushroom pie...

Bugger the brits mate we have meat pies here in australia and there great,Basically minced meat and gravy in a pastry casing,there are lots of varietys eg steak&mushroom or pepper steak and so on.

Umm, it is a pie with meat inside it usually beef, they come in various sizes. We also have pork pies,however 99% of all pork pies produced in UK are totally inedible.

pie mash & liqure with a bit of salt & vinegar lovlery
