Religion has always been used as a tool by countless political leaders for centuries hold people down. The bible has been rewritten countless times throughout history to support whatever political view helds sway at the moment. I'm sure we're only days away from a President George W. Bush edition bible.
According to radical Islam one is given 72 Virgins and 10,000 servants in the afterlife if he dies killing "infidels". I believe Anton LaVey said it best when he said "Every religion that has destroyed people is based on love"

First of all, it's Falwell and I just stated in another question that he does not speak for many Christians even though he thinks he does.
Secondly, you would need to go farther back than the Crusades to have your question make sense since the concept of God has been a part of history much farther back than that.

Wow. You normally won't see me sticking up for religion, but that question is a neurotic string of bad spelling and hooey.
Christianity was around way before the Crusades, the "moral majority" and the Republican Party.

Here's a few suggestions;
DO use a spell checker. Write your questions in a word processor program, then copy it.
DO NOT leave the caps lock on, unless you are trying to make a point.
DO cite your research. For example, the concept of religions predates the Crusades, and the Crusades were about Land, not Religion.
DO NOT fill your posts with Liberal rhetoric. It just makes you look like a patsy.

Well, mostly "god" was used to control ppl (though fear).
In the bible you can see how he (god) was used in pep talks before war & to encourge ppl to fight.
I don't know who Farwell is, but I see your point about the Repuplicans.
You should see what bush said about Atheists, I was apalled.

I think religion in general was created out of sheer stupidity. The whole war crap came as a result of the hypocritical sh*t we've been hearing being preached to us by crackpots on the streets and on TV... By the way, that was very painful to read.

Man did not create God. Man created flawed religions.

Given your spelling, I doubt humankind could invent a god.
