Humor absolutely belongs in the religious category. If we are made in the image of God then I think God must have the biggest sense of humor of all.

I think making someone laugh, provided it's not at the expense of someone else, is nice. Did you know to smile at someone is considered charity? It's better anyday than hatred and violence in the name of religion.
