Something like:
Heavenly father we thank you for this day and for all the blessings you have bestowed upon us.
We thank you for those assembled here as we celebrate their advancement and ask that you bless and keep them and that your will be accomplished in their lives.
All these things we ask in Jesus name, Amen.

THE GREAT INVOCATION*
From the point of Light within the mind of God
Let light stream forth into human minds
Let Light descend on Earth.
From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into human hearts
May the Coming One return to Earth.
From the centre where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide all little human wills
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.
From the centre which we call the human race
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.
Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.
*THIS IS A SLIGHTLY ADAPTED WORDING OF THE GREAT INVOCATION. MEN AND WOMEN OF GOODWILL THROUGHOUT THE WORLD ARE USING THIS INVOCATION IN THEIR OWN LANGUAGE. WILL YOU JOIN THEM IN USING THE INVOCATION EVERY DAY - WITH THOUGHT AND DEDICATION?

Pray as you normally would. You have been asked to say the prayer. You cannot worry about offending others because someone will always be offended. Some atheists, for instance, will be offended just by the fact that you are saying an opening prayer. Pray to God as you would pray to God any other time.

I tried praying to stop Hurricane Ernesto from hitting bermuda.
I tried praying to stop Global Warming, it hasn't stopped.
I tried praying that Hurricane Katrina wouldn't hit New Orleans, it did.
Prayer is not the way to go through life. We have REAL problems and REAL situations that have to be dealt with. Graduation is one of those things. 9 more months of studying a you'll graduate. You don't need prayer to study, and you certainly don't need prayer to graduate. I will however onthe contrary wish you "GOOD LUCK" as that I am a good person and like to see others succeed.
Stay logical, rational, & reasonable and you will graduate, but never stay delusional.
