dear its great u want to concentrate and study. You have the will and so can do it. first list all the things that distract u while at study. then tackle them one by one. Before starting studies sit down to think exclusively on the trivial matters and dont let studies distract u. At the end assess how useful it was thinking and spending so much time. U will realise .....if phone calls distrurb put of the phone. if it is the TV watch all the programes before u start studies. study in small periods with smaller breaks. say 25 mts followed by 5 mts break. set targets for the study periods. say 10 pages of history or one chapter in maths or ..... but make up ur mind that for the 25 mts u will let nothing distract you. if needed take a longer gap after the second break.. try, I did this and was a huge success.

Everyone has their own way of studying but for me I must be alone in a quiet room ...in a non cluttered space...with a bottle of ice cold water and sitting in a comfortable position. It might sound strange but it works for me. I like to study with some soft music in the background. One thing is to take breaks don't try and study over 45 minutes without getting up and stretching..I also found if I make notes as I read...it is like taking a photo that sticks in my brain...I can actually remember writing down the words when the teacher calls out the question....it rings a bell...I also make sure I'm not sleepy when I decide to study that I've had a nap so I don't fall asleep during my study time..and that goes for eating too....in closing....I wish you the best of luck....hugs from Mama Jazzy Geri

Find ways to make it fun. Give yourself a break every 30 minutes or so to get up and do jumping jacks or something. Keep your eye on the prize and think about how good you will feel when you are done. My problem isn't staying focused, it's actually starting.

You must remove all distractions! Turn off the TV and the radio and find a quiet place to study.
