john williams is such a musical genius that he will never be rivaled by any mortal man.

this guy made so much great music, that it would be impossible to beat.

i give a lot of credit to the london symphony orchestra as well. they are awesome.

Hopefully nobody. John Williams's catalog of movie themes is pretty much lifted directly from the great late-romantic era and early twentieth century composers. For instance, notice how his Star Wars Episode I theme is almost note-for-note the third movement of Antonin Dvorak's 9th Symphony "From the New World." If he were do something a bit more original than musical cut-and-paste from Copland, Holst, and Bartok, then he might be worthy of some praise.

People can't be replaced. There will not be a "next John Williams".

John Williams was a performer, conductor, and a composer, so it depends on which of those aspects you're talking about. As for the next film composer who uses a quasi-classical style, I'd suggest Ennio Morricone.
