i've heard aspartame is not good for you, but then again i've heard that the stories are fake. I don't know what to believe. Is aspartame the same as Nutrasweet? And is splenda the same thing? or different. And which one is the most non-toxic, if any. thanks!

Aspartame = Nutrasweet breaks down in the body to: formic acid, methanol & aspartic acid. Avoid.

Splenda is a chlorinated hydrocarbon(most of which are considered toxic - many pesticides are chlorinated hydrocarbons) & although I recieved the same explanation about it being like sugar, the Splenda molecule is distinctly different from sugar in its digestion.

Stevia is completely nontoxic. Comes from a plant that grows in Paraguay. Available in most health food stores.

Saccharrin got a bad rap with some very shoddy science & media hype. People have been using saccharin for ~90 years & the catabolytes(break-down products in the body) are the best studied of almost any food additive.

Splenda does not contain aspartame. It's really better than sugar.

No, Splenda is a combination of Sucrulose, a close relative chemically to Agent Orange, and other fillers. Yum!! Aspertame is the main ingredient of Nutrasweet. Both have had scantly the amount of testing truly needed to be used in food due to the strong "need" of companies wishing to include them......in addition, there is some evidence to suggest that sugar substitutes tend to re-allign those elements of the brain that crave sugar, thus making one more likely to go ape wild on the sweets once falling off the wagon.

AB is wrong and gullible. None of the above are made from sugar.Carefully listen to the advertisement dear..Its says it couldn't be made without sugar "molecules"..They are actually a sweet tasting protein..Only time this occurs in nature, is through the DECAYING process.Enjoy, your bliss.. I eat sugar and I know where it comes from.
