Question: "Why does the US Border Patrol dislike the minutemen?"
Answer: Minutemen want to play soldier-boy in the relative safety of our own backyard and bully an unarmed minority whose only crime is trying to survive. A couple of years ago some of their kind beat-up and took shoes, water (and allegedly $300) from some illegal immigrants in the misguided attempt to 'protect some body's ranch.' They were sued in Texas District Court and the illegal immigrants were awarded in excess of two million American dollars.
The court stated that the message that they wanted to send out was this:
"WE DO NOT NEED NOR WANT YOUR KIND GUARDING OUR BORDER..."
Minute men and their kind are wannabes who want to prance around in camo with guns hunting an enemy that is not there. Minutemen are a problem, not a solution to anything.

Let the Border Patrol and INS guard our border(s). If they need help, they will ask for it from the local authorities or the National Guard.
When minutemen come face-to-face with real drug runners or DEA Agents armed to the teeth, they will play a different tune.
Minutemen are NOT patriots; if they were they would join a fighting corp and go to Iraq or Afghanistan.

What you talking bout man? The border patrol love me cuz I first Chinese minute man ever. The Border patrol want me so bad man. I go when minute man secret operation over and negotiation is okay. Border patrol give me present and money all the time man. They buy me new sword play for martial art want me so bad man. They watching me take on 100 illegal immigrant all by my self. Tie them in red white and blue rope string and put on bus with American flag i dont mees around. You no know what you talking bout. Take from me a professional minute man.

Not all feel that way. I bet the Minutemen put a damper on those who were crooked and taking Payoffs on the Border Patrol. I did read they write down who is responding and how fast. Records and videos help a lot. I will be listening to their new radio program on Sunday.

the Minute men have no authority under the law. The border patrol are the ones legally authorized to carry out border checks.

Probably the same reason police officers don't like bounty hunters or rent-a-cops. If the people were qualified to be in that position, why don't they apply and earn a living doing what the enjoy. Oh wait ... they did apply, and got denied because they weren't qualified.
