No, religion will not fade out of society. From the beginning of creations and until the end of time, society or part of it will always want religion as religion is not a dogma but is about finding the truth.

I am a christian, and i hate religion, all religion does is put God in a box, it is stuck on traditiona and crap like that, being a christian should be a relationship with Jesus not a religion. So i hope it does, but to the way that you are talkin about, I doubt it, everybody in this world is just looking for something to believe int, even if you are athiest you still believe somthing (you believe that there is nothing which is a belief) um but i doubt it ever will.

Religion? Yes?

Jesus? No.
Christianity is a faith. Not a religion.
Jesus is the beginning and the end, the alpha and omega, who was and is and is to come.

Amen, Glory to God.
