The MOS is 13S, which is Field Artillery Surveyor. I already read about it on http://www.goarmy.com/JobDetail.do?id=44

But i just want a us soldier to tell me more about it.

13S are the guys who go out before hand that find a suitable spot to setup the artillery pieces, they provide the base elevation data, and basically tells the battery commander and how they need to adjust each gun as to make it level.

13F is the Foward Obersever MOS, thats one they walk, crawl, ride and call in fire

if you want to go into the survey field, check out 21S or 21T

You would be a "spotter". You go out, crawl into a hide, and call back the information to the artillery. The best part about this, is you get to watch the arty blow the crap out of the targets.

As the man said, you will have to be REALLY good with maps, grid coordinates, GPS, radio, etc.

You'll be going out with the artillery guys to pound the heck out of the enemies. You have to be really good at reading maps, grids, and GPS'.
