I'm allergic to Kiwi and I was wondering if anyone here knew if it would be ok if I would be able to eat Artificial or Simulated flavored products such as Kool-Aid.

Thank you for you're time

Kiwi fruit contains enzyme actinidin which is responsible for the allergic reaction. So check out the label first if it has that enzyme and if there's no indication then maybe you could try a very small amount first and see if your body reacts to it.

Many times the artificial version ahs a little of the real thing in it and so you may react. How allergic are you to it? Do you ismply get a little rash or do you get very ill? If you have a significant reaction, I would not risk it. Also, you should always take some antihystamine with you when you leave home, specially if eating out. Never know what people put in the food or if they used the same spoon to mix something else, etc...

I wouldn't risk it. If you read the ingredients list, you will probably notice that it includes 'artificial and natural flavors'. Which means there is going to be kiwi in it.

i wouldn't risk it as sometimes even in flavored drinks there is a little of the natural product to flavor it.
