Should I care what he thinks? Don't you think I should just be a good person on Earth and try to do what I think is right in order to benefit humanity rather than trying to please some fruity look book written by men who thought the earth was flat and the universe revolved around the earth? It seems like people should be judged by what they do, instead of whether or not they believe there's an invisible person in the sky with super powers or not. I'm an Atheist, and if I that little god ends up being real and he tells me that I'm going to Hell bc I'm not an X-ian, I'd simply reply, "You know what? You're right, fine."

I agree. I'm not going to let some big jerk who probably doesn't exist bully me around for my whole life. The whole 'believe in me or you'll go to hell' idea seems pretty immature for someone His age.

Well if you assumed that there is a invisable person in the sky, which means that for that one second you would care, but since you don't believe he is there and that is a right he has let you have, free will) and I know that you don't believe in the bible because i just read it, but in it, it says that are best deeds are as good as fithy rags, there is no such thing as a good person, Jesus is the only good person, but other than that I would say that you should care but since you don't then ok, i am not going to say anything about it, And trust me there are many people in this world that may think they are a christian and may say they are a christian but it is very, very sad that they to will find out that there is more to being a christian then just saying "i am a christian, and i believe in God" heck the devil himself believes in God and you won't ever see him back in heaven. Ok I am done, to you this might be a bunch of blabble, peace

What you think is right is not neccessarily always beneficial to all. Im not speaking for or against the bible, I'm just saying in general.

Things we do have consequences; take for example a child that is allergic to strawberries. The mom gives them to her chlid thinking that strawberries are healthy but the kid ends up getting an allergic reaction. The intention was good, but the action or results are not always good. The Falun Gong not allowing sick followers to be treated with proper treatment in China is another example.

I am not criticizing just you...the bible has good intentions of showing people the "good" way and probably not everything in it is good. As to whether you should care what the book says? maybe. A book has good points and bad points... read it and draw what you think is good out of it? I havnt read the bible myself but I am looking forward to my theology class next year just to get an understanding of both sides.

Just my 2 cents.

I just wanna say that many of the answers here are not answering the question. It is not asking whether the God is real but is questioning how fair it is to condemn non believers to hell.
If there really is an Amighty pulling strings behind the stage he should know how hard his puppets have tried even if they did not believe in him. He was the one who gave them "free will" in the first place.

The evidence showing that God is a man-made myth, and the former being capable of being as crazy as can be the latter, better put food in your mouth (or in your "brother/sister's") than throwing it in the sky.

I AM Christian, and I agree with you, totally. If God suddenly stopped existing, I would act pretty much the same as I do now. I would continue to try to do the right thing, rather than waiting to be bribed or punished.

There is no person in the sky with super powers. There is Jesus who died on the cross for our sins. All He wants is for you to believe in Him and lead a good life. You said you are a good person so you are on the right track, now all you have to do is come and know the Lord. He will give you peace and joy and eternal life. Jesus loves you

What you believe is what you believe.

God is not in the sky. Heaven not heavens is where God is and hell is where God isn't. Earth is where man is, you in this case.

God is spirit. God existed before and created everything you can observe. His reveal existence is assumed.

God gave you life. It is your to do with as you please. And from you details, you have assumed incorrectly that there is only one belief system work. But there are two; God reveals, man observes. And you observation is express in babble.

We worship God in spirit and in truth.

Once again what you believe is what you believe. But the next time you talk about God using the scientific method, you are only talking about what God created.

Funny thing is that Atheist spend more time talking about God, than most Christians do. Another thing, why do atheist only target the Christian god rather than all "higher powers". I'm what you'd call an agnostic, but I've grown tired of this Atheist Rally to pull down a religion. Focus on life not your death. Cripes.

Yeah. Question authority. Fight the good fight. Stand up for yourself and don't suck up and brown-nose. Almost makes you have sympathy for the devil inasmuch as his big "sin" was standing up to "god's" authority:

"So if you meet me, have some courtesy,
Have some sympathy, and some taste.
Use all your well-learned politesse,
Or I'll lay your soul to waste."

"Pleased to meet you, hope you guess my name.
But what's buggin' you is the nature of my game."
