I'm going to give a girl a note that I like her (it's a sonnet) but will it be a good idea to find out if she's going out with someone before giving the note to her? Also, if so how do I find this out? I feel that if I ask her friends then they'll tell her and I'd prefer if she first hears of this from me not from some other friend/ Also comment on my sonnet which is the last question I asked

It would be smart to find out if the girl has a boyfriend before giving her the note. Why don't you have one of your friends ask one of her friends? That way you will get your answer without it getting back to her that it is you that wants to know. The sonnet is lovely and it will let her know that you aren't just an ignorant everyday kind of guy, but a thoughtful romantic. Someone worth getting to know better....

It's a good idea... if you go ahead, I'd be concerned that she'd take the sonnet as being a bit stalker-ish unless you K?NOW her. I know it's cute for young guys to write a poem, but many will reuse it and change the name or some of the details. I've seen it before (and it didn't work on me).

sonnets are beautiful ideas i love poetry as a amatuer poet and the young poets award and the best ever in the Unites states i would tell you write it but make suer she doesn't have a boyfriend before you give it to her.. cause you will end up getting beat up or smacked around ok dude...

It might be a good idea to find out if she has someone first. Are you friends with any of her friends? Are any of your friends the kind of people who are always in the know? Generally there's always a school gossip who knows who is dating who, see what kind of information you can sneak out of them!
