J.P. I have a Bible (and scientists areproving more and more things in the Bible every day) I happen to believe in the Bible, it's not my place to prove Gods existance to you, ecpecially in the manner you described, you prove he don't exist, you can't, never will be able to.

no you are not alone. but there are also some Christians setting a bad example by asking bad questions, or giving lame answers.

so it is hard to set a good example to the non-believers because of all the 'imposters' that answer questions on this site.

all that is gold does not glitter
not all who wander are lost
the old that is strong does not wither
deep roots are not reached by the frost

from the ashes a fire shall be woken
a Light from the shadows will spring
renewed shall be blade that was broken
the crownless again shall be king

be a solid foundation in the Lord, never wavering in your conviction. never let the temptations of the world grab ahold, let the light of Christ shine through.

a fellow believer in Christ- 'boba fett'

ps the poem can be applied to the present as well. it is from the Lord of the Rings

Prove to us the existence of a god in a manner mathematically consistent and expressible in standard logical calculus and we'll stop asking questions trying to see if you can do it or even begin to approach it.

--------------

Nor can you prove that God exists in such a manner, so why the hate? And why spread the lies that Science is proving things in the Bible? Archeology agrees with many things in the Bible, but the inclusion of some good history in with the false stories doesn't mean the false stories are true. And Science has pretty well disproven many of the key stories of the Bible.

Here, try this:

"This is J.P.'s Bible V2.0. Bob, who is God, if you may recall from V1.0, says that 1 + 1 = 2. Bob says that whales live in the oceans. Bob says that red visible light is a lower frequency of electromagnetic radiation than is blue visible light. Bob says that the ostrich is a fungus. Bob says that J.P. is always right and may kill whoever he chooses. If you don't believe in J.P.'s Bible, you will go to Hell. J.P.'s Bible is 100% correct."

Now then. Prove to me that J.P.'s Bible is wrong. Interestingly enough, I've written it in such a way that any argument you can make for the Christian Bible, I can apply directly to my minibible here.

So which is more likely -- You cannot prove your God is real any more than I can prove atheism is, and you're blowing smoke out your butt,

or,

both the Christian Bible and J.P.'s Bible are correct?

I think there are alot of people on here that are very angry with God. I think some of the reasons for this are: the behavior of Christians in general, being terribly misinformed by ignorant Christians, having had expectations of God in answering prayer, or in saving the life of a child or something equally traumatic where the anger is actually a step in the grief process.

I think they must be hurting, longing for love, needing God to fill that hole nothing else can fill. Maybe we should ask God to give us some of his love for them.

I'm a nonChristian (Hindu) and even I'm tired of the dumb questions. What happened to the interesting questions that caused thought and insight?

Yeah it gets disturbing sometimes, but as your poem says, the Word of God stands forever, and He says :

Galatians 5:22
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, PATIENCE, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

These are the people whom God has shown to us in Yahoo! Answers. God shows that there are still so many ignorant of His word, thats why He has called us to be His elected priests for all nations :)

God Bless sister.

True dat.
True dat.

They're just poking fun. Belittling. Rattling our cages.
It's cool as long as it doesn't get obsene or vulgar.
Then I'm the first to report.
It does get tiresome at times but I hang in there for the occasional valid question.
You'll notice when we just scroll through the garbage they eventually start asking "Where's all the Christians?"
hehehe
It's funny.

That's OK.
Galatians 6:7
God is not mocked.

I get tired of the "baiting" questions. I guess it's time to pick and choose which ones to answer and ignore the dumb ones.

Just guide them to the Bible for there answers. And remember there were allot of people who had the same hateful thinking towards Christians, and allot of these same people did their own research and documented it and now or true Christians believers.

Guess you've signed onto the wrong entertainment venue.

What about all the dumb questions from Christians? Now you know the street runs both ways!

I think you are worrying about this to much and you are being prejudice. There are just as many stupid questions asked by Christians as by non-Christians.
