I like her, but am not sure if she likes me. (By not sure, I mean I'm pretty sure she doesn't like me) I don't want to get shot down.

ask her and get the answer or suffer in silence by not knowing the answer?
shot down is better than living in suspense? learn from it and not shot down again.

Try to befriend her as in really try hard.Get her sympathy.You'll never know when do not do something or make the first move.She might realize how good a person you are and change her mind.Be patient,it will pay off.Goodluck dude!

Take control and dump her before she dumps you. Women love a challenge. You play hard to get and she'll love you more. Be a good boy inside but on the outside, be tough. It's weird, I know, but it's what works.

Ask her a direct question: if you were me and you meet with a man like (me) did you like him or not? ask her to give u direct answer without hesitation. If she said no move one. If she said maybe ask her what is with me that you don't like? again ask her to be direct.
