worry about 900 million of people hidden out of the big sreenshot cities, who live belos average lifestyle of the UN standards...
The culture is wonderful, the food very delicious but the money not enough for everyone, wealthy for exportations just for a few hundred of thousands enterprenours ... the other millions to working for some money and the 900 million, trying to get a better unreacheable normal-life...

From an average american (me!) my only impression is what i am feed by news/media and overall consumption...not acutally sure how much is accurate. China to me is: Communist, BIG population, many new cell phone users over the last few years(!), one baby per couple, girl babies not as desirable as boy babies, men hold post positions of power (politics, and also bosses at work), very simple people, but hard workers! Chinese food is the best! Many different dialects spoken in China - Mandarin? Mongolian? Oh! And everything in america (especially toys) are made in China - so must be a lot of manufacturing plants! See how silly we americans are? I bet you know much more about us!

I was just there last year studying abroad. It was great! I loved the people and the culture and food. Plus the exchange rate was like 8 to 1 so everything was pretty cheap. But admitedly it still had some suprises like people just spitting and babies pooping wherever they wanted but overall it was great. Watch out for pollution though, it was killer.
