Well, if the differences were so "petty" why did you break up over them? Maybe there is more to it than that. If you can split over simple things, what`s going to happen when something serious comes up? You should just move on and not dwell on this relationship. There are plenty of other girls in the world. Probably tons who are better suited for you than her.

If the petty differences are reconcilable, it is certainly worth your effort. I applaud you for being willing to take the first step.
I think the truly right thing to do is find a quiet place and a good time to talk to her, providing she agrees to meet.
Don't prepare too much, but go into this conversation realizing often women want to hear whats in your heart.
I would start out by stating there is no reason to rehash the petty differences, but that instead you want to tell her exactly how you feel. Tell her just as clearly as in this question that you are in love with her! Try to avoid going back and circling around old issues. Instead, tell her that you believe that your love will overcome any previous misunderstandings, and that you are convinced she is meant to be with you.
Although what she probably really wants to hear is good, kind, loving communication, it would not hurt to bring her a simple rose or carnation. Don't go overboard with gifts or overstatements. I am sure if you are passionate about what you have to say, she will give you a chance.
Good luck!

Did she think they were petty? If it's meant to be, so called petty differences wouldn't make a difference. Does she want to be recaptured? I mean does she seem to to still be interested? Maybe you should give it some time and see what happens.

She's not a used car...you can't pull up to the car lot and buy her back. Unless she is wanting to get back, they ain't much you can do. Maybe you could try and be friends with her and in time she will want to try again. But ain't much else other than praying, rubbing a budha belly and buying a lucky rabbits foot! You could try buying her a BIG @ss ring or a trip to Hawaii!

Well maybe those differences were not so petty to her. Think about that and keep thinking because nobody can help you if that is all you have to say.

Tell her you're still in love with her. The truth always works best. And let her know that although you two had your differences, you would want to try and work past them. Just tell her how you feel, with no pretenses or lies or imbellishments.

I'm not sure you can. Talk to her about it, say that you regret the breakup. Who initiated it? Was she hurt? Why do you want to get back with her? Learn from this... sometimes it's best to take relationships seriously.

I'm assuming you're a man. You'll have to accept the reality that men are always wrong =/. Just say that and all will be well.
