I think that there is a lot in Christianity that Christians take for granted and do not focus on and focus instead on other areas of their teachings and faith that perhaps has led them to be viewed negatively.

Most of the Christians I know are very admirable people, very loving and compassionate. They aren't very outspoken or forceful. They are peaceful and respectful. That said, I do know a few who are not, but I don't blame their religious label for their personality, it's just who they are and they just happen to use religion as a shield for their disrespectful, violent, hateful ways. Thankfully they are a minority.

All Christians don't fit into one stereotype. Many are hard-working, loving, good-hearted, non-judgemental people. Others are fanatics about "spreading the good news" and/or judgemental, both of which are extremely annoying.

Just as terrorists have tainted the words "Muslim" and "Islam", I think a small group of outspoken, far-right Christians in the US are giving the rest a bad name.

I am a Christian and I think my fellow Christians would be better people if they were more like Christ. Christ dined with those that his peers thought of as sinners he did not turn them away. Christ told those who were going to stone a whore that they should throw the first stone if they had no sin; thus reminding them that each and every one of us is a sinner and equal in God's eyes. Christians should get off of their high horse and get back to being Christ like.

Honestly, what comes to mind when I hear the word Christian:

Sheltered
Naive
Obedient
Women

Of course this does not actually describe Christians as a group.

they are a religion of hypocrites and they think that anything that is not their religion is the worshiping of Satan. but i think that it is a scam for most people to be part of the largest cult ever. they act like one and they worship in sacrificing their religious leader. it's kind of scary to me.
