I was in Thailand last year and stayed at "Daret's Guest House" It's like a backpacker hostel kinda place, but it was way chill. If your looking for something a little nicer I heard the Diamond Riverside was pretty nice.

I stayed in Empress Hotel and was very happy with it. Place was clean and neat and located south of the night bazaar.
Although it was not a the night bazaar, it was still very accessible by a 15 to 20 mins walk. Within walking distance is 7-11 convenience store to get your stuff or drinks.
Cost about 1200 bahts a night for a double with buffet breakfast.
Just outside the hotel are massage shop and tailor.
I went in Oct last year and booked by internet.
