why do you ask this question if you do not believe in God? Every day has been a modern day world to the people in it - so that would be to say religion has never had a purpose to which I could agree - religion is a vanity - but faith is a totally different thing than religion. And believing in God has never made anyone behave - so, you're not up on your history very well there. And why would you believe in Satan if you don't believe in God? And if all of what you propose is true - then what is your real point? Because to answer your question is to imply you believe in God, you believe in Satan and that you believe God created all that there is and would for some reason have become afraid of his own creation - that is not logical; so I ask again what is your point?

Um, God is not afraid of anything, if he was then he wouldn't be much of a god, it is funny, you say that people need a god to force themselves to behave, but yet by whos standards and morals do we go by, the conscience is what tells you what is right and what is wrong, a master theif can steal something and to him it might not be wrong but yet why does he hide the merchandise he stole, because he knows it is wrong. The bible has been on this earth for a long time and it has set the standards, even people that don't believe in the bible no that it is wrong to lie, steal, kill, so on and so forth. And our country was based around the bible, so while to many people the bible is become something they just throw the side, the morals and standards that were taught over the years have been passed down from generation to generation. Heck i don't even know if this was even close to an answer you were looking for. Peace.

I'm not going to call you a messenger of Satan, I'm going to call you a half blind, angry person who is to proud to admit that you're relatively insignifigant and bigger things exist then you. Satan wouldn't want you as a messenger, he needs people who are much more convincing.
If you can't see God at work in daily life then you can't see a thing. It's obvious to anyone who has studied nature in the slightest that there was a programmer for all things. Everything is exactly the way it needs to be on this planet meanwhile there's no chance of even basic life anywhere we can see in the universe.
You can't see a purpose to religion because it doesn't profit you. It's not about you, it's about God and giving thanks instead of bitching about why it isn't all handed to you. While I'm mad at your hate, I'm not mad at you. Allmost everyone on the planet comes to the realization that ther is a God, it just hasn't happened for you yet.

If religion has a purpose only in the parts that are in the cave man days such as the middle east, then why are the majority of Americans bible thumpers?

Is GOD afraid of the USA?.... Never thought of that concept. But what is USA but a place where freedom has us running a muck. A place where the all mighty dollar is worth more than the life of a man. Where the all mighty dollar is praised more than GOD. Where killing a police dog is more punishable than killing a human. Where the constitution is rewritten everyday to try and accompany the manifestation of society. Where GOD is seen in the misery of man. I see GOD when I see a person dwelling on thier own short comings. When a man/woman wishes they were dead, I see GOD calling. Existing in pain and glory. If you decide to embrace peace. I believe in satan, GOD, and all religions. Not to the sense that I believe they are the truth, but I simply aknowledge thier existance. Even the belief of evolution exists, but does not at all mean you have to accept it as your truth nor honor it. But to simply aknowledge it will effect everyday life for me, you, and offspring to come. Fear is a noble quality to life. I learned fear as a tool to know that anything can happen. I have seen people get shot and killed, I got jumped before, robbed people, had a gun pointed in my face, got in brawls, and I learned fear after all of that. It keeps you on your toes. Every man fears something. I will not accept otherwise. As much as a defense someone could put up, I know there is a fear of something. And 9/10 of the time, it is fear of the unkown. Because that is my fear. What will happen to me tomorrow knowing it is never promised it's full length...........Is GOD afraid of the USA? Well that depends on which GOD you are talking about. What I truly fear is the man in the mirror. Those are my shoes, not yours. And the feet that goes into them shall walk till I reach my destination. Till then, I keep it moving. I for one believe in GOD. But it is not that of the christians. PEACE!

let me give u something to think about
atheists are usually good ppl, if they do something wrong they feel guilty like anyone else. since they don't believe in God then y do they bother with doing the "right thing"
see the thing about it is that God is in our conscience , whether u want to believe it or not, that is y we do the right thing. Not because of fear, not because our religion says so, its because when u do the right thing u become a happier person and a better person. and u want to please God.
now since atheists don't have a God to guide them but they do have a conscience, who do u think puts that conscience there and makes them feel guilty when they do something they know is wrong.
Its God
no matter how u want to look at it, God is there for the believers as well as non believers.

I don't think GOD is afraid of USA. I do believe there is one GOD and he put out all these religions because he knew that no one will follow just one. We are all different. He can't make us live by one religion since we have free will. We have lots to choose to from. I don't believe there is a right or wrong religion. Some are extreme. Whatever works for that individual.

I would think that you have never read a Bible. And yes, maybe there is a little part of satan in you! He has his way of worming his way into people's lives. Maybe you should sit down with a Bible and read about those other so called gods that other people believe in. No God is not afraid of the USA!

I guess Bush is a modern day cave man too because he believes in God like there's no tommorow. He thinks God is on his side while the middle east thinks God is on their side.
It seems that Bush wants a tug-of-war with any Muslims that will play his game.

God works for me and I'm part of the modern world, right here in the USA. The term 'modern' is relative if you think about it.......the people of the year 500 thought they were in the modern age compared to people who lived in the year 400. As for God being afraid, no way Jose. As for God's existence, of course people debate that, but to me belief in God works and I really do believe some very very strong entity created this life.....but you are entitled to your opinion, we all are.
