I take Exercise!

Get up and get moving! Depression can be one of the most debilitating experiences in life. It makes you tired, so tired you want to go to bed and never get up. It can be a challenge to pull yourself out of that dark hole. Seeing your doctor should always be your first step in dealing with depression, but there are some ways you can deal with depression on a daily basis. Though it may seem impossible, exercise is one of the best ways to deal with depression.

Exercise can improve symptoms of depression. Even small amounts of exercise help. If you have depression, you might find your doctor prescribing a regular dose of exercise. Exercise isn't necessarily a cure for depression, but its psychological and physical benefits can improve your symptoms.

Exercise and food. No, seriously. I eat when I'm depressed and then workout to counteract the effects of overeating, thus releasing endorphins which make me feel good.

If you're talking about prescription antidepressants, then I'm not on any.

Lithium, Prozac, and a new one called Abilify. Seems like a lot I know, but at least I'm not laying on a slab in some morgue because I blew my brains out!

I am on Lexapro and have been for the last year at least. Before that I was on Celexa which is a weaker form of the drug. This is the only drug that has worked for my depression.
