My boyfriend and I are in a long distance relationship because he is at graduate school. How do you deal with your long distance relationship? Are there any tips and tricks that help ease the sadness of being away from the one you love? Thanks!!

Contrary to what the cynics say, distance is not for the fearful, it is for the bold. It's for those who are willing to spend a lot of time alone in exchange for a little time with the one they love. It's for those knowing a good thing when they see it, even if they dont see it nearly enough..
Distance between two hearts is not an obstacle rather a great reminder of just how strong true love can be
though miles may lay between u 2, you`re never far apart, for love doesnt count the miles, its measured by the heart

Im too in a Long D relationship. Though u both dont meet, u have to keep in touch. Keep writing love letters, emailing, calling or SMSng etc. The more u communicate, the much better. Communication fills the distance. Talking with each others feels that u are there for him, and hez there for u. Also understand him, care for him and shower all ur love for him. He too will feel great abt it.

Good Luck!

When he does come back to see you, spend as much time with him as possible. When you are away from him (I am currently in a long distance relationship), I try to hang out with my friends as often as possible, it helps ease the sadness, talk on the phone when you both are free, and talk on AIM. I have learned to accept that fact that he is away, but when he returns or comes to visit me, he will be excited to see me!

Talk to him on the phone. As long as you have complete trust in each other and neither of you are obsessive, then things should be alrite. But then you have to take into account physical pleasure...you have to ask yourself if you can be without him physically. If not then maybe you could try an open relationship.

Just be very understanding with each other!!! Keep clear communication, you might not have much time to talk all the time so take advantage of the time you do have. Ask each other advice/opnions on life situations, remind yourselves that your love is worth the distance, or just make each other laugh, oh I almost forgot the most important part!!!!!!........TRUST EACH OTHER!!!!!!

I spent a year in Iraq, and my girlfriend decided she couldn't wait that long. You have to make sure that you are both willing to wait on each other. I recommend remaining in contact as much as possible or you will slowly grow apart. Send emails, pictures, and see each other in person as much as possible. Wish you the best.

theres only one ingredient that is very essential to a long distance relationship: trust. and of course the others would be compromise and you should know how to be understanding.
