OK my cousin and i were discuss the theory that man and ape evolved from a common ancestor. and it is a fact that we do share some of the same DNA as they do. my question is there any where in the bible or any other holy books that would explain this. i have a ideal but it would go back to the angels mating with humans and possible their off spring mating with a monkey type animal. and there for giving us a common ancestor. which would in fact be a human. that would mean it was the monkeys that evolved and not humans. what are your theory's i dont care how long your answer is i will take my time while reading it. but please only serious answers. and im not gonna go out of my way and pick some one who agrees with me i will pick the answer that best explains it.

so far only one person has even understood this question. the question was

does the bible explain why we would share so much DNA with the apes and no other species we share like 80% to 90% of the same genes and DNA. and i never said i believed we evolved from apes but most people do. but i do believe 1 day to god is like billions of years to us. and that would explain a lot. but out of the whole world why do we share DNA with a monkey its not like GOD was gonna run out of DNA. i had rather prove to these science people that if any thing evolved it was the monkey because when god made man the design was finished right then and there. Adam and Eve were perfect

The earth has been here along time Gods work took along time.6 days could have been 6 thousand years or more as Gods time and ours are not the same.I believe God created all things but these things could have changed as the earth changed.Adam was created in Gods image ,but that doesn`t mean that there wasn`t other humans who were here and who evolved.Angels did breed with women ,that`s why there was a flood to destroy this race of beings. There`s a lot of things that are hard to understand and the Bible sort of squims over that part and more or less focuses on the Jewish tribes.

I love science but I am also a spiritual person. To me the two are not conflicting ideas. The big bang happened (actually several, possibly). All matter that makes up the universe was sent hurtling into space and cooled forming atoms, which formed molecules, which started to collect via gravitational pull, which turned into pebbles, then rocks, then asteroids, then planets which were then pulled into regular orbit by a star (Sol, in our solar system). The ingredients of life are energy, carbon (though silicone has shown the ability to form extremely complex compounds as well) and water. It has been thoeorized that massive global storms produced enough lightning (electricity) to "shock" molecules spontaneously into carbon and nitrogen compounds similar to rudimentary DNA. These compounds grew in complexity, and with energy and water available, began to replicate themselves. I am not familiar with any theories as to how or why. Evolution had begun and not long after ( in a universal sense of time) life began, and I think everyone knows the basics of Darwinism.

My point about being spiritual is that no one knows what was happening before the big bang, what the laws of physics were at that time and place, whenever and wherever it was. If God does exist (which I personally believe, but my own version that makes sense to me), then He is said to be perfect and therefore, whatever He does is perfect because perfection necessarily breeds only perfection. Is it not possible that He was the catalyst of the big bang and everything fell into the condition we now observe it to be, not exactly as a plan but rather the execution of a perfect creation?

As for the DNA, I read somewhere that we have something like 25% the same DNA as a banana. You don't have to read a bible for this one, I don't think. It seems reasonable that some nitrogen and carbon compounds just make for better building blocks and those are the cornerstones of life.

Ok i'm not a scientist so I can't explain the DNA part, but the Bible does say that God created the heavens and the earth. Something can't come from nothing. Look at all the intelligent human beings on the earth today...they're trying to re-create what's already been created and they can't even do that! So if we as an intelligent human society can't even copy this grand design, then what makes anyone think that an earth full of soup could make it in the first place? Who's better qualified? The creation or the Creator? Think about it.

Very interesting question. I don't believe in evolution at all, I am a Christian and I don't have to go any farther than Genesis 1:1 to get my answer In the beginning God CREATED the Heavens and the earth....... then it goes on telling what he created on what day. The Bible says nothing anywhere about evolution. So simply put, being a christian, I believe what my Bible says.

It may be true we share some of the same DNA as apes, but there are none in my family tree. It doesn't mean we evolved from them.

The account of introduction is too lengthy to be summarized; so, i imagine you'll likely in basic terms prefer to envision it. Your second question (does it rule out evolution/the large bang) is unquestionably extra accessible to respond to. No, it does not, in and of itself, rule out both of those theories; in spite of the undeniable fact that, some forms of Christianity stick with a doctrine of finished Biblical literalism and inerrancy which motives them to finish that the Biblical account of the introduction is opposite to technology. Importantly, there are different forms of Christianity which do not examine all the Bible as actually authentic, and those Christians do not see a contradiction between technology and the Biblical textual content. for instance, Roman Catholicism believes some elements of the Bible are literal and others are non-literal. Roman Catholicism does not hence stress its followers to settle on between technology and faith. Biblical literalism and inerrancy is of direction incorrect. Jesus' penchant for using parable illustrates God's use of non-literal speech to prepare mankind. also, the former testomony account of the solar status nonetheless, if actually authentic, might want to also recommend that a literalist must trust the solar revolves round the Earth -- no heliocentric photo voltaic gadget for such someone. So, the priority isn't technology or faith in spite of the undeniable fact that the shallow faith of the Biblical literalists. it really is too simplistic, and that could want to nicely be why is appeals to such quite some.

man you got some really rude and hateful answers here. i respect your question and its a good question and i my self would like to know the answer here is a photo of human DNA side by side with primate DNA
chromosomal changes are humans have 23 pairs, all other apes have 24

and for some of the people in here that think they know the bible Yes the sons of god did marry the daughters of man. so why wouldnt this be possible

When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years." The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown. (Genesis 6:1-4, English Standard Version)

you know we do share some of the same DNA as dogs and mice. It's just DNA, that's the raw material that God chose to use when he created living things. There are a limited number of amino acids and hence a limited number of comibations to a specified string.
You no doubt have many DNA similarities as I do but it doesn't make you kin.

I guarantee that you have parts of your DNA that are similar to dogs and mice but that doesn't mean a thing either. So monkeys, apes. No, lets say ducks evolved from chickens. That is so ridiculous. I can't believe so many people are throwing themselves after this folly.

Oh better one, Dogs evolved from horses, it is a scientific fact that they both share many genetic traits so it must be fact, prove me wrong.

Now for the bible, God made Adam from the dust of the earth( oddly enough household dust is 99% dead human skin tissue ).
Notice it did NOT say, God made Adam from the ape of the earth, or the slime of the pond, or the monkey of the garden.

God did say "Let us make man, In our likeness and in our image". Dude, God is not a monkey.
I have proof that God exists, yet it seems that if God didn't show it to you himself you wont be able to see it. I have met with others (strangers) who have been given proof and theirs is the same as mine. God is giving out proof, contact God and submit your earnest requests.

angels that mated with humans were called nephilim. these ended up as more of a giant-kind of race. (david and goliath - goliath was one of the more famous ones) however most of them were whiped out in the flood, as thats a major reason god send the flood was to fix this problem. why it wasnt a big issue afterwards i dont remember. if you want a very interesting sermon about this look up Chuck Missler - Nephilim

wow you went way out there for a really simple answer. god made it all so wouldnt a common creator have the same building blocks to make life. and animals were created first in the bible. so you take the template of dna and you change it for every animal.
