I heard there was a furnal somewhere in Afghanistan. With a whole bunch of Taliban leaders attending. The military made a decission not to shot them. Heck, I think that was a mistake. They wouldn't take the opposites with us, if our American military leaders where at a furnal site. They would kill us. How do you feel about this?

I feel down right disgussed by our political policies. I think we are doing harm by not having them shut down. The heck with their being at a furnal. Geeze, now our sons, daughters, fathers, brothers, uncles etc. etc have to watch their backs even more not get killed. I hate the inability of our government folks to make adequate decissions.

I spent 30 years in the Marine Corps fighting for this great country and have seen this happen time after time, It is not, I repeat not the fault of the Military It's the idiot politicians worrying about there careers that makes this happen. Trust me, I've been there and had our enemies in my sights waiting for the call to fire, while the idiots argued over politics. That is what is wrong with this country, They want the Military to fight for your freedom, but they put limits on us. I enlisted in the Marines in 1967, was in Khe San a year later, We never lost a battle in Nam, the war was lost back here in the states, just like the war in Iraq is now. The Marines and solders are not losing the war, they are doing a lot of good things, but the press are telling you different. I've fought in places around the world that you have never heard of, but it all comes down to what you hear from the liberal press. The FBI and the CIA are to busy fighting each other, I keep waiting for the Government to wake up, but after 30 years in the Marines I give up. The politicians Dems and Republicans are more worried about there careers than they are about what needs to be done. but to all my brothers and sisters in the military fighting for us, Semper Fi, We are what keeps America strong! God Bless, MGST WOODALL USMC(Retired)

Dont believe wht the news or government tell us 100%, they have cheated us and srewed us for a long time, they think we can believe anything, if there was really taliban leaders attending the funeral, our government would sure attack them, they are just making it up and playing dumb. Which person will miss such an opportunity? The apportunity to capture or wipe out the leaders of the terrorist syndicate wanted by the world for evil things they did. The government is palying weird games.

You can thank the lawyers who have puzzified the military by pressure from the ACLU and CAIR. Our civilization will only survive when either Islam reforms itself to become the religion of peace (for real this time), OR we start fighting this war like our forefathers fought WWII, No mercy. Get the job done. Strength and Peace through superior firepower, and the WILL to USE superior firepower.

I do see your point but I really don't think it would have mattered much. Another fanatic would have stepped up. and also ponder this....America never tried to kill Hitler. The reason being that if he were dead someone smarter could have stepped up and turned the tides of WWII. Killing these leaders will not do much for us. The only way this is going to end is if "non-violent" (if there is such a being) muslims rise up and take care of these fanatics themselves.

The reason they come out is because we want to knw where they might be coming from, this is all classified, only thing tha tis presented to us that we didn't attack them when we saw them. But wut if we wanna pusue them and find their hideout? The thing its a matter of international diplomacy and being human. Imagine the world's reaction to this, at least now we know how many more maybe living. otherwise noone would come out, with the fear of death, and i'd b impossile to get them. Um, if they came as close to our country's leaders during a funeral, I'd be vey scared.

This was in July. There were 191(I think) suspected Taliban members at a funeral. But it was not confirmed that they were Taliban. They could of bombed them and killed 191 civilians at a funeral. It is also against the rules of engagement to bomb a cemetery, although there can be exceptions.

You have to look at our crediability in the middle east....Its not to good. If we had bombed it Al Jazerra would have published it saying we bombed a funeral of innocent people, We are also held to a higher standard. If not there would be tons of incidents like Abu Gruab (sp?) Hadittha, and others

Who is saying this ............the same media that would of condemned the military for attacking a funeral?

The media would of crucified the military and Bush for such a move. And you would of probably been on here asking for Bush's head on a platter for such a cold-hearted move.

If we kill all the terrorist. Bush and the Republican`s may lose a lot of money that they get from the oil rich county`s. I agree with all the above. With the exception of jason c.show them how to win a war And then maybe they will leave us alone.
