Use the export function under th Files menu in Microsoft Office Picture Manager. You can change the format from bmp to jpg.

Open the picture in Photoshop (or its variants). Instead of "Save," hit "Save as..." Drop down the menu and choose .bmp. Enter a title without a suffix. It will be added according to file type. Click on "Save." That's it.

this is how the people i know change their photos from bmp to jpg and other stuff they have a software wich i dont think is rare or expensive but there probably is other ways without a sofware.
