i am so tired and sleepy, i have so much work to do and cant concentrate...anything to help? red-bull doesnt work with me...

drink lots of fluids, sit up straight, cross your feet at the ankles and make sure there is plenty of light. Sometimes chewing gum helps also

TIPS TO BOOST YOUR ENERGY AND KEEP YOU AWAKE:

Drink more water. If you get dehydrated, it will make you feel sluggish.

Eat plenty of protein. Make sure you are eating enough healthy protein throughout the day. Your body needs it to keep organs functioning and energy levels up.

Watch your carb intake. Eating too many carbs can slow you down, but so can not eating enough of the healthy kind (like those from veggies). Carbs are what keeps your blood sugar levels balanced throughout the day, which in turn makes you feel awake, so be sure you're eating the right amount for you.

Limit your caffeine fix. If you can't get going without a cup of coffee, you're probably drinking too much. It will actually end up making you feel more tired in the long run, so limit your intake to about one cup a day.

Eat when you're hungry. If you keep pushing lunch back until you're about to faint, your blood sugar levels will plummet--and so will your energy.

Eat a balanced diet. If you're not giving your body all the protein, carbs, fats, vitamins, minerals and more that it needs.

Take a break. Get up and walk outside. Take 5 or 10, get a breath of fresh air and a change of scenery for a bit and you'll feel much better. Do that ever 2 - 3 hours. It'll do you a world of good and you'll be much more productive.

There are some kinds of food that can keep people awake and the result seem to be different to everyone so you can try one of these: apple, sweets, coffee and tea.
After trying one or some of those, stand up, walk to have a face wash, then back to work.

change professions... i used to be so tired at work.. i would have to be to work at 9 and i would get so tired during the day. now i work at a high school, have to be there around 7:30 and i have no problem staying awake. the fact that i have to be constantly watching what is going on is reason enough for me to stay awake!

i don't even drink coffee!

Take a vitamin, go outside and have a walk or a run, slap myself in the face a couple times, splash cold water on my face or do something that scares me.

get up and walk around or go outside for some fresh air. I read somewhere that eating an apple will help give you energy. Way better for you.

Herbal teas help. It refreshes my mind. I take Hovid range of teas.Ginkgo biloba and Q10 also help. Ginkgo is for the mind and Q10 is to give more energy.

Go to the bathroom if you get embarrassed easily, then do some jumping jacks. May sound silly, but it will get your heart pumping and it will give you that rush to wake you up.
