This guy I went out with once. He has my number. But after the date was over he acted like he wanted to kiss me. I wasn't ready yet for this. So he leaned over and gave me a kiss on the cheek. Then he said do you have a email address I said no. Then he asked if he could call me? I said ok. Why do you think he asked about the email address. Why not just say can I call you?

Maybe E-mail is his comfort zone.
Don't let your lack of E-mail experience bother you.
If you like him get him to teach you about it.
That'll give him a chance to relax around you & you a chance to learn what is rapidly becoming a valuble social skill.
