is there any cheat to change a sim's lifetime want? is there any way to do it without a cheat?

I don't know the cheats but here is something fun to do.
get lots of adults around.
get a baby.
put the baby in the grass.
build a moat around the baby(water) so they baby is on an island.
when the baby needs changing and starts crying all the adults will mill around the island trying to get to the baby!!!
