A toothache is a sign that something is wrong. It could be a cavity, problem in the root of the tooth, a tooth that is crowded, etc. You need to see a dentist. In the meantime, try Oragel & Tylenol to relieve the pain.

You do not give much information. But if you have a tooth ache you must first determine if you have an open pulp chamber, with is above the gum line causing the problem or if it is an abscess which is below the gum line. I do not think that hydrogen peroxide will help the pain either way. If the problem is due to an open pulp chamber, you can buy Oil Of Cloves at the drug store. It comes in a little kit form containing small cotton balls. Soak a ball or a Q-tip and apply directly to the cavity. If you have an abscess you can try to suck the poison out by closing your mouth and sucking that isolated area. Sometimes it will relieve the pressure. Do not swallow this stuff, spit it out. Then use the oil of cloves. An abscess will sometimes show as a lump on the gum at the tooth site. But I would advise you to get to a dentist as soon as you can. An abscessed tooth is nothing to mess with.
Left untreated it can kill you.

I read that it was good to hold the peroxide in in your mouth on the tooth for awhile, then spit it out. I tried it for a toothache, but it didn't help me. Good luck.

There's alway Alieve for pain. Alieve tricks you. I've tried it with some pain and it does nothing. But it's always worked wonderfully for me with toothaches. It's my favorite over-the-counter treatment for tooth pain. I've always taken three at once, because I know myself and what will wipe out pain for me.

Peroxide helps with infection, just gargle for a while or do as you've written.

I though you wanted to whiten your teeth. Take some tylenol or buy some orajel. It will numb, but its only temporary. If you have an abcess in your tooth, only a dentist can help.

No, that will not help. Try pineapple juice/pineapples. The bromelain in it will help with toothaches. Also, cloves are said to help.
