I don't know and neither do you......I think that's what you mean, my Dear One....well, they will mind their own beeswax (ooo I love that old adage) as soon as everyone else does too. That's what Free Speech is for. For people to spout off. Take a look at all the Bible Thumpers. I don't agree with them but as Voltaire said "I will defend to the death their right to say it". Blessings.

I suspect that the reasons are the same as the reasons why "militant Christians" or "militant anything else" can't mind their own business: assuming the people are sincere about their beliefs, they may be concerned that people who don't share those beliefs are going down a bad path, and they want to help.
And, of course, all groups have members who simply enjoy arguing, stirring up trouble, and making emotions run high.

Because militant Christians want to change the laws to jail people who don't follow religious rules, no matter whether the citizens are religious or not. That will set anyone loving freedom out onto a juggernaut

It's a common human tendency. The same one that makes militant Christians, militant Muslims, militant feminists, militant cat lovers and on and on and on...........
It's intolerant, angry people who believe everyone should think their way, and then stop thinking.

Atheist point to something "Christians" did in the past or present. Hatred and rejections fuels the non-belief.
Thus their beliefs and behavior are parasitic reciprocities of Christians beliefs and behaviors. Thus they need each other and are inversely proportional.
Historically, atheism grows after a serious problem with the institutional church and criticism surmounts. Thus, again, the parasitic relationship.

Hey, these guys are your best prospects for conversion don't chase them away. Love them they have been hurt probably had mean fathers or families and more than likely need affection they did not get. Your question is not an example of truning cheek it is like stricking back. Properly you should take their questions (note who makes aggressive answers) and find a way to stand firm and be loving.
