It's not noticeable unless you zoom in on it, but it still bothers me...should I have something done about this, or am I just too much of a perfectionist?

This is most likely a dead pixel. This is a problem that can appear on many electronic devices, mainly LCDs. You should call Canon support. It should be covered by the warranty

If the red pixel also appears in the actual photo, (not just onthe lcd screen) then theres a problem with your sensor, call canon, they have good customer service.

this is what is known as a dead pixel. You should contact Canon support
