I am homeschooling my son this year. I am using a program called K12, most of the work at your childs age is done on the internet. The program is absolutly free of charge. It is a charter school. You and/or her can contact 'her' assigned teacher at any time by phone or email. They send a computer, printer via UPS. At the end of the school year you send it back at their expense, they send the postage labels. They also re imburse you 12.95 a month for internet services. If you are interested I will tell you more in specifics but it is really working out for me.

Are you sure you want her to work on line? Going on line is a little troubling for parents of even for the most trustworthy kids. You might consider using Alpha Omega's Switched-on-Schoolhouse. It's computer based, corrects your child's work using your preferences, and can be somewhat personalized to include optional lessons from other programs. We love it. There are programs offered in many subject areas: history, language, math, science, Bible, state studies, health, foreign language, etc. If you are interested in checking it out try this link: http://www.aop.com/sos/ .

Additionally, if you are seriously considering going on line, it is possible that your child might do well with college classes. She would be earning college credit while finishing high school. Your local community college probably offers classes on line. There are other reputable colleges that offer distance learning using the computer and Internet. I personally would probably consider the college track before investing in high school classes on line. Especially at tenth grade and beyond. It's worth thinking about.

Well, this is not online, but it is a computer based curriculum: swithched on school house by Alpha Omega publishers.
Very nice program. It allows the student to work independently, and allows you to go in and monitor their homework, activity, administer their tests, so on and so forth. I think you can even set it to alert you when your student is falling behind, stuff like that.
I've never heard anything bad about it from people I know that have used it.
google it, and see if this fits your needs.
and don't listen to the naysayers that are going to say you cannot homeschool your child and work at the same time. Good grief, flexibility is one of the reasons people like homeschooling so much. Who on earth made the rule that students are only capable of learning during certain hours of the day?
Want to hear something scandalous? We have school on Monday evenings. Gasp! My husband works a double on Mondays, so we usually enjoy a free morning then study during the afternoon and evening. They enjoy the change of pace.
Best wishes to you.

Im doing homeschooling through Basis Charter School.
Basically I get assignments for a whole month and at the end of the month, the teacher they assigned to me, comes and discusses with me how I'm doing, if I did all my work, etc.
I do a few of the classes online, and it's great.
Look into it, if you wish. :)
My mom is really busy with work, so the once a month meetings work out great. And basically when she goes to work, I start doing my work. When she comes home, she just looks over it, and then initials it at the top.

By the way, I'm in 10th grade also. :)

It's called Basehor Linwood Virtual Schooling.

I go there now, and I'm in 12 grade. It is all on the computer. They give you the laptop (it's an apple computer)
She can take the test online while you are at work, and at the end while it's is time for finals you go up to the school and take the finals. It's just that simple

Try keystone(http://www.keystonehighschool.com/)

Or James Madison Highschool Online(http://www.jmhsonline.com/index.html)

I'm trying to finish my senior year using one of these programs. I've researched them both and they both look like very good programs. They're both accredited :)
