I just bought a 2006 F-150 and I want to install a Ipod kit myself, but I dont know how to remove the stereo, can anyone help?

Ford has a special little tool that is used to remove the stereo. It is a two piece wire contraption with hooks on the ends. You can get it at any stereo shop and a lot of department stores. It pushes into the two holes on each side of the deck and hooks into it and then you just pull it out.

Ford's radio removal tool should have come with your truck. Looks like two small horseshoes. Should have come with the truck somewhere. If not, talk to dealer or parts store.

Chilton's should make a manual for that vehicle or go to crutchfiled.com they may have the info you are looking for
