Sounds to me like your thinking "Step one: figure out what I want to study, Step 2: get an education, Step 3: get a job". Well I think you should first decided what job/career you want, then find out what degree is good for that field. If you don't know what career field you want, pick one, something, anything, and investigate that field. Find companies and people that do what your interested in. Call them, visit them, ask them what its' like, what degree or certifications you'll need, do they like it and why. Some people may say buzz off but when people like their job there just itching to talk about it. While your investigating and the more you learn, you might decided that it's not what your really looking for but discover something else that is.

Bottom line, focus on the job/career (the end result) and let the education (how to get there) follow .

PS: I'm a computer programmer. I have to program, install, and commission computer control systems. I spend 1/3 of my time behind a desk.

Physics requires a lot of math and understanding of math. True, calculators and computers are used but the math is always there. Computer science, honestly, unless you like sitting at a desk for hours at a time, don't go there. If you do or at least can stand it, try computer engineering. Biology, well, there are countless jobs. Veterinarian, wildlife biologist, anthropologist, Medical Doctor, Marine Biologist, etc. are just a small list for biology. It all depends on if you like spending time indoors or outdoors adn if you like animals or insects or people. Also, do you like working on something that may be totally right or totally wrong. Depends on your likes and dislikes.
