theres a guy i like a lot and stuff and i want to tell him that i like him and i have for a really long time and i just can't bring myself to because hes like one of my friends and i DON'T want to create an awkward situation, plus i want HIM to tell ME. but im a year older than him! does it matter? and also... how do i flirt more with a friend?

Well maybe you're just not ready to tell him yet.

Just give it more time. Drop some tiny hints. Smile and be friendly. Have patience.

well let him tell you first, dont tell it first, dont do anything about it, let fate do its job,
but if you really really want him, forget the awkward part, go write him a letter,
it would really be awkward for sometime , but you see every; first stages of relationship are awkward
be brave enough to tell him if you see that you both can be happy together, but if you see only a slight possible chance of being happy with him, and him being happy with you then choose to wait

do what i did write a letter to him telling how you feel bout him i kno it works i got a senior to ask me out just by a letter and ima freshmen

Just tell him or show him some sign you are interested in him.you never know he might like you also.
